About us

KIDZ PLAYZONE PTY LTD is a small Australian company that operates one thing: a free, browser-based casual game platform for players aged 13 and over.

Pre-launch notice. Details still being finalised are shown marked like this: the company’s ACN and ABN, its registered office, and its State of registration. Everything else on this site is accurate as written.

Who we are

We are an Australian proprietary company, registered in [TO CONFIRM: State or Territory of registration] and operating under Australian law. The company’s registered details are set out further down this page, and they are the ones on the public register — not a trading name behind which something else sits.

What we operate is a casual game platform that runs in a web browser. We licence the games from the developers who make them, hold them to a written set of criteria, and put them somewhere they load quickly and cost nothing. We do not develop games ourselves, we do not run a marketplace, and there is no physical venue: there is no play centre, no soft-play room and no address a family visits. The company is the platform and the people who keep it running.

We have kept the scope small on purpose. A platform with no accounts, no purchases and no messaging is a platform with very little that can go wrong for the person using it, and very little for us to hold about them.

The name

“Kidz Playzone” reads like a children’s brand. The platform is not for children under 13, and we would rather explain that here than let a visitor work it out for themselves.

The name was chosen early, when the company was formed, as a brand name for casual arcade-style games — the kind that sat in an arcade cabinet or on a lunchtime browser tab. It describes a genre, not an audience. It has been kept since because the company is registered and known under it, and changing a legal name and a domain part-way is a great deal of churn for a cosmetic gain.

What it does not do is change our policy. The minimum age for the platform is 13. We do not run a preschool, toddler or kids category. We do not use mascots, nursery colours or any of the other visual cues that mark a service as directed to young children. We do not advertise a children’s tier, and we do not describe the platform as a children’s service anywhere, in any market.

The reasoning behind the 13 minimum, and the practices that back it up, are set out under Safety & suitability. If you are a parent or guardian who arrived here because the name suggested something else, that page is the one worth reading.

What we believe about casual play

Three principles. They are also design constraints, which is the only reason they are worth publishing.

  • Short sessions

A casual game should be satisfying in five minutes and should not punish you for leaving. We do not licence titles built around daily streaks, energy timers or mechanics that make stopping feel expensive.

  • No pressure

Nothing on the platform is designed to make a player feel they are falling behind. No accounts means no profile to maintain; no messaging means no social obligation; no ranking on this site means nothing to chase.

  • No spend

A player cannot spend money on the platform, because there is nothing to buy. That rules out in-game currency, loot boxes and the entire category of purchase-driven design — which for a 13-and-over audience is the single most useful thing a platform can rule out.

How we work

Small, remote-capable and browser-first. The company runs on a deliberately light footprint: the site you are reading is static, the platform is a web application, and the work is licensing, review and maintenance rather than production. We are not going to publish a headcount or a set of staff photographs, because a small team that dresses itself up as a large one is the first thing a reader stops believing.

Decisions about the library follow the written criteria on the home page rather than a private judgement call, which is what makes them reviewable. When something is reported to us, one person reads the report and answers it. That is the whole process and there is no ticket queue behind it.

What is deliberately not here

No player numbers, no game counts, no download figures, no revenue, no headcount, no awards, no press logos and no testimonials. Not because they would be unflattering, but because we do not have audited versions of them and a number nobody can check is worth nothing to you.

Section 18 of the Australian Consumer Law prohibits misleading or deceptive conduct in trade or commerce. A company site is trade or commerce. That is the standard this page is written to.
